Animation Startup

Aptly named for the two brothers who started the firm, Tom and Joe Constantini, Two Animators has expanded from a small office at 5 Independence Way in Princeton to a 1,500-square-foot studio in Hamilton to accommodate growth from the two founders to 11 employees in just a year and a half.

The company is a traditional animation studio that produces work for television shows, commercials, and websites — traditional and flash animation production, and interactive CD-ROM and website design.

Tom Constantini, the creative director, studied graphic design at the Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography in Philadelphia, graduating in 1992. Joe Constantini, the animation director, studied animation at the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

Following graduation both brothers worked in New York City, Tom at Oxygen Media and Joe at MTV Studios. After a couple of years doing freelancing in New York, the Hamilton natives decided to move closer to home.

No other art-related people are in the family, say the brothers. Their father is a pilot who trains the Federal Aviation Administration staff who certify pilots. Their mother was coordinated scanning technology and, for 38 years, she did pricing for Acme Markets.

For Nestle it did a commercial spot that feature a rabbit. It is involved in episodes of “The Superficial Friends,” now airing on Comcast on Demand, and a seven-minute animation for Meat Lofa’s Bat Out of Hell III tour. For Pokemon USA the firm is developing a vector art library that will be used to create interactive animations for an educational website.
