Bus Trip
D&R Greenway Land Trust is hosting a bus trip to Villanova Chapel on Saturday, July 28, for a performance of Samuel Guarnaccia’s Emergent Universe Oratorio. The trip goes from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. Cost: $125. RSVP by July 19 to dkilmer@drgreenway.org or 609-924-4646.
Play Ball
Boheme Opera hosts Boheme Opera Night at the Trenton Thunder on Friday, August 17, at Arm & Hammer Park. The Thunder play the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Fireworks follow. The chorus sings the National Anthem, God Bless America, and Take Me Out to the Ballgame. A large block of seats for the ball game has been reserved as a fundraiser. Tickets must be purchased in advance for $12 per person. Checks should be made payable to Boheme Opera NJ and sent to: Sid Morginstin, ATTN: GAME, Box 8101, Trenton 08650. Tickets will be mailed directly to you. Send your order with return address by August 5.
Audition
The Roxey Ballet is hosting auditions for its winter production of The Nutcracker. Dancers ages 4 to 18 are invited to try out. Auditions will be held Saturday, September 8, at Canal Studios, 243 North Union Street, Lambertville. Time slots are designated by age. To register visit www.roxeyballet.org.
The West Windsor Library Youth Services Department will hold auditions for its Halloween Playfest short plays, including The Curse of Miss White, Backstage, The Last Day of School, and mini-musical Duet in the Dungeon on Saturdays, July 28 and August 4, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Auditions will consist of script readings and singing for singing roles.
