For a Cause
The EASEL Animal Rescue League is holding a virtual walk/run to raise funds for the care of the animals at the shelter in Ewing. EASEL is a no-kill shelter that saves hundreds of homeless dogs and cats each year from across the central New Jersey region.
EASEL’s Fast & the Furriest event will take place from September 18 to 25. Registration costs $20. Participants can walk or run with their pets anywhere and on their own schedule while raising money for the animals at EASEL. To register, go to https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Trenton/FastandtheFurriest.
This event is entirely virtual, so distance covered will matter more than speed. Participants can manually log their steps/miles or connect their fitness tracker (Fitbit, Apple watch, or phone app) to monitor their progress on the race web page, and watch how far they can go to raise money for animals in need.
The top performers from each of the male and female categories will receive a large one-of-a-kind backpack/travel bag with the EASEL logo embroidered into the fabric, donated by Trenton Joe’s of Ewing.
