Scholarship

The NJ Federation of Republican Women is seeking nominees for scholarships benefiting young Republican women. Three $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to eligible college sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as students enrolled in master’s programs. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students majoring in political science, government, or economics. Visit www.njfrw.org for entry details. Audition

Playhouse 22 is holding auditions for their upcoming production of “Cabaret” on Monday and Tuesday, June 20 and 21, at 7 p.m. at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. The ensemble cast of actors, singers, and dancers must be ages 18 and up. Prepare two contrasting musical theater selections of 16 bars each, in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key. No acapella and no recorded accompaniment. You will be asked to learn a short dance combination at the audition. Volunteer

The Sourland Conservancy is seeking volunteers to help protect, promote, and preserve the character of the Sourland Mountain region. Contact lcleveland@sourland.org to learn about upcoming volunteer projects.

New Jersey Blood Services is in need of volunteers at blood drives. Blood service volunteers will assist donors with registration, escorting and canteen duties and watch for post donation reactions. Hiking

Celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday, June 4, with Friends of Princeton Open Space as they hike a system of trails in the Greater Mountain Lakes Natural Area and along the Stony Brook in Princeton. Parking is available at their headquarters at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve, at the corner of Route 206 and Mountain Avenue. For access to the Stony Brook Trail, park near Johnson Park School on Rosedale Road. View hiking trail maps at www.fopos.org.
