Jersey Physical Therapy and the Hugs for Brady Foundation are collecting pajamas for children battling cancer at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital. New pajamas for ages infant through 18 years are being collected at Jersey Physical Therapy’s office at 3328 Route 27, Kendall Park; 3 Liberty Street, Plainsboro; and 180 Tices Lane, East Brunswick through Wednesday, December 23.

The Center for Child and Family Achievement is hosting a book drive at the Art for Read to Achieve Pop-Up Gallery at Princeton Shopping Center through Sunday, December 20. New and gently used books for kids through age 12 will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by appointment on Monday, December 21. Books about science, nature, history (including biographies), and personal development are greatly appreciated. Visit www.ccfatrenton.org.

Tennis Teams

Trenton Catholic Academy is fundraising to start a boys’ tennis team this spring. To prepare the team, funds are needed to enter the Mercer County High School Tennis League with matches beginning January 2. Umpires Needed

District 12 Little League seeks teenagers and adults to complete umpire training for Little League softball and baseball games. The four-day course is offered at West Windsor Senior Center on Tuesdays, February 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., and February 9 to 23, 6:30 to 8 p.m.; at the Reynolds Middle School in Hamilton on Wednesdays, February 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., and February 10 to 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Exams are Tuesday or Wednesday, March 1 or 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. The on-field practical is on Sunday, March 6, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Nottingham Little League, weather permtting. Singers Needed

Capital Singers of Trenton, a semi-professional chorus, seeks new singers to perform sacred and secular music. All voice parts welcome, especially tenors and basses.
