Princeton University’s Irish Studies programs resume after a fall hiatus with a series of free Friday afternoon events, all starting at 4:30 p.m. On March 2, Irish scholar and Irish Times columnist Fintan O’Toole will examine “Brexit, Ireland and the Rise of English Nationalism,” East Pyne Room 010.

The series continues with Award-winning writer Sally Rooney, pictured, reading from her debut novel, “Conversations with Friends,” March 9, East Pyne 010; filmmaker Pat Collins screening and discussing his documentary “Song of Granite,” April 6, at the Garden Theater; and Edinburgh professor Alvin Jackson’s talking on two early 20th century Irish leaders, “John Redmond and Edward Carson: Bloodshed, Borders and the Union State,” April 27, East Pyne 10. fis.princeton.edu
