The traveling Chalkboard Theater Project arrives at the West Windsor Arts Council on Saturday, July 23, with its Sideways Mandate Experiment – where 21 professional theater artists create five new works in 24 hours.

“We are all about the business of inviting artists together in a room for a structured, frenetic 24 hour period, peppering them with obstacles to navigate and hurdles to jump, and watching them come together and collaboratively spin straw into gold,” say the coordinators of the Philadelphia-based group that links its name to the open possibilities of a blank chalkboard.

The unfolding event makes its appearance at 8 p.m. at the West Windsor Arts Center, 952 Alexander Road, Princeton Junction. $12. go to www.artful.ly/chalkboard-theatre-project-llc/store/events/9490 for more information.
