One of the new spec buildings on Alexander Road has
already found a tenant. Mathematica Policy Research Inc. has signed
a lease for 72,000 square feet of office space at 600 Alexander Park,
now under construction and owned by Trammell Crow Company. The prominent
public policy research firm will move from 54,000 square feet at Morgan
Lane but maintain its current facility at 311 Enterprise Drive as
its survey operations center.
“Over the past several years, the company has experienced significant
growth,” says Charles E. Metcalf, president of Mathematica. “This
new office space will accommodate our current need for space and offer
additional opportunity for future growth.” The building offers
state-of-the-art technology, a park-like setting with a lake view,
and close proximity to the Princeton Junction train station.
Mathematica’s move was made visible last October when it listed its
Morgan Lane space available for a two-year sublease starting January
1, 2000. Bob Morford of the Garibaldi Group served as the real estate
broker for Mathematica, and Trammell Crow was represented by GMH Realty.
Though the building was designed by the Hillier Group, CUH2A has been
chosen to provide interior design, architectural, and design-related
engineering services and Greenhill Construction Advisors Inc, will
provide construction oversight.
Mathematica, one of the nation’s leading independent research firms,
conducts policy research and surveys for federal and state governments,
as well as private clients. The employee-owned firm also has offices
in Washington and Cambridge. Mathematica’s studies have focussed on
education, welfare, employment, health care, nutrition, and early
childhood policies.
