Registration is open for Princeton Adult School’s (PAS) spring 2025 course offerings.

PAS celebrates the New Year with a resolution to enlighten, enliven, and energize all those participating in the Spring 2025 semester. Guided by its motto of “Learning Never Ends,” PAS features a platform of more than 300 classes, in-person and virtual, on a wide variety of academic, entertainment, recreational, health, practical life management skills topics, appealing to individuals of all ages, genders, backgrounds, ethnicities, and skills.

This semester features several “hands-on” proactive topics to get you out of your lounge chair, such as crafting, painting, cooking, beer brewing, taking pictures, and playing the mandolin, flute, guitar, and harmonica, plus outdoor activities including golfing, biking, and trail hiking.

The main lecture also makes a proactive pivot by exploring “IMPACT! How Arts, Books, and Ideas Shaped History.”

A few examples of courses reflecting the extraordinary diversity of offerings include:

• Salem and the Witchcraft Trials

• Conquering the Fear of Flying

• Two Plays by Anton Chekhov

• Drawing and Painting Workshop

• Shibori Workshop

• Gluten Free Sourdough Baking

• Excel for Beginners

• Chat GPT and the AI Revolution

• World Languages (sign language, Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish

To participate in any portion of this journey, visit www.princetonadultschool.org to register for classes. For assistance, call the office at 609-683-1101.

Registration takes place until a class begins or is full. If a class is full, sign up for the waitlist; if the numbers indicate a course’s viability, a second section will be started. English Language Learning registration takes place on Tuesday, January 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Princeton High School, 151 Moore Street, Princeton.

Center for Modern Aging Princeton

The Center for Modern Aging Princeton (CMAP) is holding its first-ever Open House for the Evergreen Forum, a program dedicated to fostering lifelong learning and curiosity among older adults. The event will take place on Thursday, January 16, from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m., offering an afternoon filled with opportunities to connect, learn, and explore.

Attendees will have the chance to:

• Meet Spring 2025 Course Leaders and learn about their engaging and thought-provoking courses.

• Attend Sample Lectures to get a taste of the Evergreen Forum’s unique educational offerings.

• Enjoy Light Refreshments while mingling with fellow participants in a welcoming and vibrant environment.

• Win a Free Evergreen Forum Class.

The Evergreen Forum invites older adults to cultivate their curiosity and reimagine learning through dynamic daytime study. Whether you’re diving into a lifelong passion, exploring a new subject, or rediscovering the joy of learning, this program is your gateway to an enriching educational experience.

This spring, the Evergreen Forum will feature a diverse array of courses designed to engage minds and spark meaningful discussions. Courses are available in-person and virtually online, allowing participants to choose the format that best suits their needs. Topics include:

• Literature and Art & Culture: Immerse yourself in the beauty of human expression.

• Government & Politics: Stay informed and gain insights into current events.

• History & Science: Explore pivotal moments and breakthroughs that have shaped our world.

For more information on our courses and a full course list, check out our electronic brochure available online on the CMAP website provided below. Additionally, registration is first-come, first-served and opens online on Tuesday, January 28, at 9:30 a.m. at cmaprinceton.org/evergreen-forum.

Most classes begin in March and meet once a week for two hours. Fees are $110 for six- to eight-week courses. Senior Scholarships are available to those for whom the fee is a hardship.
