— Barbara Lee

Lee lives in South Brunswick.

She writes: “I have been attending a poetry and writing group for a few years beginning with the pandemic on Zoom. The group has been meeting live for over a year at the South Brunswick Senior Center, and we share our poems and stories. The poem I am submitting is based on an activity I participated in, with a local group for Earth Day to do a cleanup of a specific area near us.”
