The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “Central NJ Young Professional Summit” marks a return to the traditional in-person format this year on Thursday, November 17, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The YP Summit is described on the Chamber’s website as an event that “brings together networking, personal and professional development, motivational speakers, and educational workshops” in the Conference Center on Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
Tickets are $70 for members and $85 for the public. For more information or to register, visit www.princetonmercerchamber.org.
The agenda features two workshops with speakers Nivedita Candade, a strategy, operations, and M&A professional, as well as Priya Kartik, the founder and CEO of Enspire Academy in Plainsboro — a learning center that, according to its website, offers “training to improve public speaking skills and leadership skills.”
Jennifer Willey of Wet Cement, an organization that empowers clients to “make their mark” by implementing the “fearless fundamentals [of] confidence, communication, connections, control, and courage,” is the third presenter in the workshop.
Prior to establishing the company, Willey transformed her career from child actor, fitness professional, and TV news anchor before becoming an entrepreneur. According to the Wet Cement website, the founder and CEO is “one of only 50 U.S. CEOs leading a disability-owned and woman-owned certified business.”
At 11:05, the awards ceremony for PMRC’s 2022 Young Professional of the Year commences by honoring account manager Marlee Araujo of SERVPRO Hamilton and South Trenton, a cleanup, restoration, and reconstruction franchise.
Then, keynote speaker Rod Colon will present “CEO of Me; The Key to Networking, Branding, and Owning,” a 60-minute session from the consultant, career coach, and published author with “a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in today’s global economy.”
Colon, who has “25 years of experience as a corporate HR management insider,” presents to audiences a “paradigm” informed by his days in Wall Street, according to his LinkedIn profile.
The day concludes with what the agenda simply notes as time for a “grand prize” before its conclusion in the afternoon.
