The Legal Landscape in the #MeToo Era

The #MeToo movement has elevated global consciousness about women’s rights and the obstacles they encounter through sexual harassment and assault in their lives, both personal and professional. The Princeton Bar Association will discuss the #MeToo movement and recent legal trends in regard to harassment in the workplace on Wednesday, June 27, at 12:30 p.m. at TPC Jasna Polana. What is harassment?

High profile harassment allegations and actions employers (and other related companies) have taken.

Monica Wahba is legal counsel to SuitSupply (U.S.A.) Inc. and adjunct professor at Rutgers University. Prior to joining SuitSupply, she was an associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath in its commercial litigation practice group. Wahba earned her bachelor’s from Rutgers in 2006 and her law degree from George Washington School of Law in 2009. She is also a past president of the Princeton Bar Association.

Vik Jaitly is an associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath in the firm’s Philadelphia office. He represents employers in disputes in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals with respect to a variety of employment and labor related issues, including compliance with federal and state employment statutes; non-compete, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements; discrimination and harassment matters; and wage and hour compliance issues.
