John Hart: Local Hero

The feature-length documentary “John Hart: Portrait of a Patriot,” highlighting the life and times of the Hopewell-based Declaration of Independence signer, will be screened at the 1867 Sanctuary in Ewing on Sunday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m. The film was made by author, Ewing resident, and John Hart descendent Dave Hart.

Join local history lovers at a 6:30 p.m. pre-showing reception at the historic Benjamin Temple House, 27 Federal City Road, Ewing. The house was used for several scenes in the film. The scene above shows, from the left, Actors’ Net Theater in Morrisville’s Joe Doyle as John Adams, Hamilton-based community activist and Patriots Week volunteer Jim Carlucci as Benjamin Franklin, and Princeton-based actor Tim Anderson as John Hart.
