Surety Title Company, a title insurance firm serving residential and commercial clients in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has acquired Lawrenceville-based Title Village Title Agency.

Deaths

Herbert Irving Abelson, 92, on September 9. He was chief psychologist and later vice president and director of Opinion Research Corporation. In 1969 he cofounded Response Analysis Corporation, an applied research firm conducting inquiries for government, not-for-profit, and for-profit firms. Of particular importance were several national surveys conducted for the National Institute on Drug Abuse and for the U.S. Department of Energy.

Cynthia “Chip” Mangum White Fisher, 73, on September 20. She retired from Princeton Hospital in 2002 after 32 years as the office manager of Human Resources. She was a fashion designer, seamstress, wedding coordinator, artist, and the founder of Concoctions Inc.
