In particular, the language-based curriculum includes three 45-minute periods of language instruction daily, including language, written expression, and reading. This curriculum is delivered through explicit instruction using programs such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Lindamood-Bell Learning Process, Hochman Basic Writing Skills, and Story Grammar Marker.
The Cambridge School classrooms are small, structured, nurturing, and make use of state-of-the art technology. Students have access to Google Chromebooks, laptop computers, personal iPads, SMARTBoards, green-screen technology, and 3D printer technology. Google Apps for Education is used to support student learning, which allows students to gain the necessary skills for today’s connected world.
The Cambridge philosophy is that an effective education supports the whole child. Academically, this includes a student-centered approach that provides a highly individualized and specialized experience for each child.
