Why Not Volunteer for the Year?

Share post:

Many nonprofit groups see a surge in volunteers during the holidays, but many of those helping hands tend to drift away as the year goes on. VolunteerConnect, an organization that connects skilled professional volunteers to nonprofits, is looking for people who are willing and able to commit to the year-round job of serving on a board of trustees for a local organization.

Board members provide nonprofit groups with advocacy, fundraising, and strategic oversight. VolunteerConnect provides training to professionals so that they can effectively serve on boards.

VolunteerConnect will host an information session Thursday, January 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 12 Stockton Street in Princeton. For more information, visit www.volunteerconnectnj.org, E-mail info@volunteerconnectnj.org or call 609-921-8893.
