The fair connects local small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with organizations and resources.
Princeton SCORE will also offer three mini-seminars on popular small business topics. These are a sampling of SCORE’s many free educational programs for entrepreneurs. There is no pre-registration but visitors must sign up at the Princeton SCORE exhibit table to attend any of the seminars, since space is limited. The mini-seminars include:
Intellectual Property — Not Business as Usual, noon to 12:40 p.m. Richard A. Catalina Jr., an intellectual property, Internet/technology law attorney with Szaferman Lakind will define Intellectual Property (IP) and discuss how to protect and enforce your IP in today’s business climate.
Secrets to Funding Your Business, 1 to 1:40 p.m. Bill Litchman, an experienced SCORE counselor and former strategic planning consultant with global business background, will discuss some lesser-known ways to fund a small business from internal and/or external sources.
Small Business Marketing in the Digital Age, 2 to 2:40 p.m. John Cashman, founder and president of Digital Firefly Marketing, will describe digital marketing strategies for small business, including maintaining an active website, making the site easily found by search engines, and being active on social media.
Formerly the vice president of product development at JAGTAG , the Nassau Street start-up that was sold to Augme Technologies in 2011, Cashman has worked with companies such as Nike, Macys, Unilver, and Sports Illustrated and agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Saatchi & Saatchi and Studio LLC. He has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from California State University-Long Beach and is a competitive rower.
