Hightstown Medical Associates, an East Windsor primary care Internal Medicine practice, would like to introduce you to their newest physician.

Kristyn Phelps, MD joined the practice in January, 2014. A native of Virginia, Dr. Phelps attended Rutgers University as the James Dickson Carr Scholar in the Honors Program. She earned her MD at Temple University Medical School, during which she did a year of GI research. Her internship and residency in internal medicine were at Temple University and Morristown Memorial hospitals. During residency she was a Johnson & Johnson/Yale University Physician Scholar and she took first place at the Internal Medicine Resident Research Day in 2008.

Prior to joining HMA, Dr. Phelps worked as a hospitalist for a year at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston and for the last three years has practiced internal medicine in Trenton and Lakewood to repay her National Health Services Corp scholarship. She is board certified in internal medicine.

Hightstown Medical Associates has been serving the medical care needs of East and West Windsor, Robbinsville, Washington Township, Hightstown, Plainsboro, Cranbury, Monroe, Lawrenceville, and Princeton for 40 years. Dr. Phelps, along with Dr. James Robin (Franklin & Marshall College, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine) and Dr. Hank Lubin (Princeton University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School), and nurse practitioners Virgina Azarchi and Elizabeth Teixeira, are available Monday through Saturday, including evenings. Whether it is a same-day appointment for an acute problem, follow-up of an ongoing illness or condition, or a comprehensive physical to maintain health, you can be sure that your needs will be met by this practice. On-site lab draws, cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, ambulatory blood pressure, and heart monitoring just add to the “one-stop shopping” nature of this practice.
