Christopher Midura, left, has joined Goldberg Segalla LLP as an associate in the law firm’s Carnegie Center office. Midura, a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law and the College of New Jersey, has experience in state and federal courts at trial and apellate levels in business, commercial, insurance, intellectual property, negligence litigation, and personal injury cases.
Jerry A. Nelson, center, has joined Stark & Stark as a new partner in its commercial real estate practice. Nelson has extensive executive-level experience in helping clients lease, manage, acquire, develop, remediate and sell retail, office and industrial properties.
Nelson will assist clients in commercial leasing, contract drafting, environmental regulatory compliance, zoning, land use, and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Nelson advised and represented Levin Management Corporation for more than 21 years as in-house counsel and general counsel. Nelson has an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a law degree from Albany Law School.
Forrestal Village -based manufacturer KoamTac Inc. has named Mark Schmidt as COO. The company makes bar code scanners for smartphones.
Schmidt has over 20 years of experience in barcode scanning technology, most recently serving as vice president of business development at Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. Schmidt previously served as executive vice president for Metrologic before the company was acquired by Honeywell. Schmidt earned his B.S. in industrial engineering with a concentration in lasers and electro-optics from Rowan University.
