Located in the heart of Palmer Square, Dandelion Jewelry is the perfect place to find unique fashion jewelry at affordable prices. Our handcrafted designer jewelry can be worn for parties or casually.
Dandelion is a family owned and operated business. It was founded in 1964 in Pennsylvania by Beth Fluke, Lellie Keating, and Leslie Woodward’s mother. Ten years ago they opened their Palmer Square location and also have a thriving internet business.
Since their opening in 2003, Carole Mendelsohn has been the store manager. In 2006, she was joined by assistant manager Rachel McFarland. To Carole “Dandelion is more than a store, my customers become my friends. When people come into the store to see what is new, we also visit and catch up with each other’s lives. Everyone knows everyone else.”
Dandelion Jewelry strives to feature local artists. Lellie announced they will be hosting a “Princeton Phinds” event next summer where jewelry makers from Princeton and surrounding towns will be able to showcase their talents at the store. They will begin to actively recruit people to participate in January. Visit their website at https://dandelionjewelry.com for more information.
Since its inception nearly 50 years ago, Dandelion Jewelry has had a strong philanthropic focus on women’s issues. They are excited to announce two great events happening just in time for the holidays, both of which will support women around the globe:
November 22-24: Chan Luu Pop-up Show – bigger than a trunk show, it is a store within a store.
November 29-December 1: Anna Beck Trunk Show
Chan Luu Ethical Fashion International is a line of jewelry developed by Chan in collaboration with artisans around the world. These artists use their local area skills and resources to create unique jewelry. Her work is in conjunction with the International Trade Center, a United Nations agency, to develop sustainable industries in undeveloped areas and give nations in these areas the opportunity to work to build a better future.
Anna Beck is a Los Angeles-based contemporary jewelry designer who uses one of the oldest jewelry making techniques. Her pieces are created in Bali. Anna Beck Designs supports BumiSehat, a women’s clinic that operates solely on donations. They provide local women health and emergency care services, as well as community, environmental, and educational programs.
