Students from Rider University will work as interns at Princeton Junior School (PJS) under a new program between the school and Rider’s department of teacher education.
Under the program, graduate and undergraduate students from Rider associate professor Tamar Jacobson’s developmental methods and assessment in early childhood education class will begin internships with PJS’ preschool and kindergarten teachers.
PJS, located on Fackler Road, is holding an open house on Sunday, October 14, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for families interested in learning more about the program, which began on September 24.
“This partnership provides opportunities for teachers to conduct action research and pose critical questions of their own teaching practices and student learning in their classrooms and then work collaboratively with interns to examine these questions,” said Silvana Clark, PJS head of school.
