The showhouses traditionally attracts more than 5,000 visitors and have won national awards from House Beautiful as well as appearing on the covers of Colonial Homes, Traditional Home, and other publications. The house will be open to the public beginning Sunday, April 25. It will be on view Wednesdays through Sundays until May 23. Tickets are $20 in advance and can be obtained through the Junior League’s website www.jlgp.org. At the door, tickets will be $25. For seniors, tickets are $20, however purchased.

The Patron’s Party, black tie encouraged of course, is the formal kickoff to this year’s event on Saturday, April 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. and will adopt a South Seas theme.

This year’s showhouse includes for the first time an art gallery, which will have its own event, along with fashion, on Friday, April 30.

David J. Goldberg, MD, voted one of the top 10 laser surgeons in the U.S., highlights a Mother’s Day event on Saturday, May 8, at the “Feel Beautiful, Be Healthy” luncheon from 1 to 4 p.m.

On Sunday, May 16, from 1 to 2 p.m., Farrow and Ball consultant and showroom manager Ann Pailthrop will host a talk entitled “Colour the Home.” Her focus will be on developing the knowledge of color families and paint finishes. She will offer tips and ideas to make this usually intimidating decision not so overwhelming.
