The employees of #b#NRG Energy#/b#, headquartered at 211 Carnegie Center, recently participated in the company’s annual Global Giving Community volunteer day, giving time to numerous charities across the country. Area charity work included office work for Autism Speaks and Young Audiences; refurbishing computers and stocking food pantry shelves at HomeFront; performing inventory and organizing Dress for Success; sorting food and loading trucks at Mercer Street Friends Food Bank; cleaning up for summer at YWCA/YMCA Princeton and Big Brothers/Big Sisters Mercer County; and sorting and compiling amenities bags to support homeless for United Way.

#b#Walmart#/b#’s Nassau Park store recently donated $4,500 to Mobile Meals of Trenton/Ewing. The grant will be used to purchase coolers and thermal bags for food deliveries to the homebound.

#b#McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union#/b# recently gave $15,000 through the Voice Foundation to the National Junior Tennis & Learning of Trenton. NJTLT and First Tee of Greater Trenton will offer a free six-week academic enrichment, tennis, and golf camp to underserved children from the Trenton area.

Attorneys Michael Simon and James Kozachek of Hamilton-based #b#Flaster/Greenberg #/b# recently completed a volunteer turn teaching entrepreneurship and business to 25 students at Trenton High School. Topics included developing a business plan, advertising, marketing, and ethics in practice.
