Career Training Institute To Host Open House

The Career Training Institute (CTI) of Mercer County Community College’s James Kerney Campus in Trenton will host an open house on Friday, September 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. to highlight the school’s 30-week career training programs.

Designed for both newcomers to the work world and more experienced workers who wish to upgrade their skills, the CTI’s noncredit programs include administrative office programs in secretarial, word processing, PC applications, computerized bookkeeping, and medical and legal secretary fields, as well as culinary technician. Entering students must have either a high school diploma or GED.

After completing a program, students receive job search assistance from the One-Stop Career Center on Yard Avenue. The center offers one-on-one counseling and workshops. Graduates also have the opportunity to make a seamless transition into credit classes at Mercer County Community College.
