Audition

Maurer Productions has auditions for “Spamalot” on Saturday, July 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, July 14, noon to 5 p.m., at Mercer Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. All roles are open to actors, singers, and dancers ages 18 years and older. The show will include 16 to 20 actors to play more than 40 roles.

A dance core of both men and women who do not need to sing is also needed. Sign up for an audition time in the first hour of each audition day. You will be taught a more difficult dance combination and will be given the option of performing a song or monologue or vocalizing with the music director. Sharim V’Sharot: People of Song, a 24-voice Jewish choir, is seeking new members for the upcoming season with concerts in Princeton, Lawrenceville, Newtown, Pennsylvania, and beyond. The largely a cappella choir sings in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, Italian, French, and English, and has openings for all voices. Weekly rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 3, in Law­renceville. Good Cause

One Simple Wish, a nonprofit that grants simple wishes to foster children and vulnerable families, will host an “Evening of Wishes” at Peacock Inn in Princeton, on Thursday, July 11, from 5 to 9 p.m. A percentage of dinner service will be donated to One Simple Wish. For Young Musicians

Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra is holding open auditions on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 6 and 7, and Wednesday, September 11. GPYO’s performing ensembles include Prep Strings & Orchestra for younger and developing players, Concert Orchestra for intermediate and advancing players, and Symphonic Orchestra for advanced high school musicians. Emotional Eating

Princeton House Behavioral Health offers an emotional eating outpatient program for women who cope with their emotions by overeating or under eating. The new offering is at the new building at 1000 Herrontown Road, Princeton.

Camp Openings

Mercer County Community College has openings in several summer camp programs, including Camp College, Sports Camps, and Tomato Patch Visual and Performing Arts Workshops. Kids and Faith

Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro offers kids a free weeklong day camp experience. The camp, for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade, will be held Monday to Friday, July 29 to August 2, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The theme “Turn It Up” combines biblical teaching with interactive activities through daily bible lessons, music time, recreation, snack time, and stage performances. Princeton Junior School has been accepted as a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. Yardville CYO Fall Pee Wee Soccer is accepting registration for the season set to begin on Sunday, September 15. Players should be between the ages of 4 and 5 by September 14. $75 registration. Games and practices will be held on Saturday mornings at Yardville CYO Soccer Field.
