advantage tennis Steve Lee

Advantage Tennis, conveniently located next to the Windsor Athletic Club at 99 Clarksville Road, West Windsor, is in full swing for the coming school year. Steve Lee, general manager and director of tennis, has revitalized its programs that cover the full range of junior tennis as well as a very selective high-performance training program.

“Advantage Tennis has undergone a renaissance. We have built a strategy of classes that ensure that each student is placed in the correct program for his or her skill level and age. We have structured a path of consistent improvement that leads our students to achieve their highest level of play. This same high standard applies to our adult programs as well,” says Lee.

“We introduce toddlers as young as 3 to the basics such as improving hand-eye coordination and refining motor skills through fun drills and games. They will begin to learn tennis strokes and volleys. For students aged 7-11 who are beginning to hit the ball over the net, we have designed a class focussed on stroke production, sound mechanics, foot work and conditioning. They experience group games and competitive play.”

Advantage Tennis is proud to have Katerina Saskova join their roster of world-class trainers. Her specialization in youth development will ensure the best training for early learners, those 10 and under.

“In addition,” says Lee, “I am pleased to announce that Martin Alund remains at Advantage Tennis, bringing his professionalism and unique approach to world class training to students who desire to advance competitively. As the students’ progress, they can experience the reality of world class competition at the Martin Alund Academy of Tennis Training. Alund played professionally on the ATP tour, reaching the semi-finals of the 2013 Brazil Open and achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 84 in March, 2013.”

Lee played tennis throughout his youth and through college. He took his lifelong passion and began teaching tennis in his home town of Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1995. By 1996 he had become a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional. In 2003 he joined ClubCorp, one of the largest country club management companies nationwide with 200+ country clubs, city clubs, athletic clubs, and alumni clubs. His extensive experience at country clubs around the country has honed his teaching skills and allowed him to develop a curriculum that engages students to become the best players they can.

Come with your child to visit the facility and experience the superior training offered. Or come yourself and see the high level of training available to adults. Lee says, “Visit Advantage Tennis and explore the options and training levels that are right for you. Our nine courts operate under air-supported “tennis domes” from the middle of September through the middle of May. Our outdoor facilities make it possible to enjoy optimal playing conditions throughout the year.”
