What do you get when 14 highly motivated, real estate professionals come together to give back to the community that has helped them realize their business success? In the RE/MAX Tri County Agency in Hamilton Township, they are called Women Who Move Mercer!

The original idea actually surfaced a couple years ago, but really took off at the beginning of this year, with a concerted effort made on the part of several members to develop a more clearly defined mission statement, purpose and focus, which is best articulated on their Facebook page:

“We are a group of strong successful women in the real estate world. We came together as a group to share ideas but more importantly we recognize the need to give back to the communities that have supported our success.”

The results of this renewed effort have been a benefit to the people living in the cities, towns, boroughs and villages of Mercer County in the form of charitable giving, assistance and outreach that has helped people of all stripes throughout the community.

What is particularly striking about Women Who Move Mercer as a group though, is the energy and passion they bring to the challenges they take on. Sitting down to talk with 12 of the current members of the group in one of the offices at the ReMax Agency on Route 33 near Robbinsville, I could actually feel the electricity in the room as they talked about what they’ve done, and what they plan to do in the future, for the community in which they work.

From in-person efforts to help at food banks, like the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, to collecting books for the Center for Child and Family Achievement, to even helping in the recovery efforts from the hurricane devastation recently visited on communities and towns in Texas and Florida, they are ready to help, and through their passion and determination when taking on a challenge, they make sure that what they do will make a real difference in people’s lives.

As part of their efforts, they have enlisted the help of clients, colleagues, business partners and a variety of community and government agencies. Needless to say, nothing much stands in their way once they decide they want to make something happen….(oh, and by the way, you too can help them with all these causes by visiting the Women Who Move Mercer Facebook page!)

As they talk about what’s next, the obvious is to work in any way they can to try and brighten the holidays for those less fortunate as summer ends and Thanksgiving and Christmas get ever closer! But as a testament to their commitment, passion and business acumen, they know full well that the issues that need to be addressed when it comes to helping our neighbors and friends in Mercer County don’t stop once the holidays have passed into memory. When many others may have moved onto other priorities, the Women Who Move Mercer will continue to look for ways to lift up the hopes and lives of the people of the Mercer County communities through 2018 and beyond.

If you would like to take part in any of the important and meaningful initiatives sponsored by Women Who Move Mercer, you can go to the aforementioned Facebook page, or simply contact any of the members by calling ReMax at 609-587-9300.

By helping Women Who Move Mercer in their mission, whether you contribute money or time, you will discover the kind of energy and passion that really does make a difference.
