In today’s nearly limitless landscape of wedding foodie trends, brides and grooms want the freedom to express themselves. From caviar to cracker jacks, anything goes, as long as it leaves you and your guests smiling. Two local wedding venues — the Crystal Ballroom at the Radisson Freehold and the newly renovated Windsor Ballroom at the Holiday Inn East Windsor — embraced this wedding menu philosophy when they unveiled their new wedding and bar/bat mitzvah menus for 2015.

If you live for all things glittering and glamorous, you’ll love the posh new menu options including the pre-ceremony infused water station, vodka and caviar ice bar, chocolate lover’s paradise (with two chocolate fountains, naturally), and the amuse bouche of champagne poured over gourmet sorbet in a shot glass to cleanse your palette. Is a whimsical, I-don’t-want-to-grow-up wedding more your style? Indulge your nostalgic side with sundae at the boardwalk (now with ice cream floats), gourmet grilled cheese and soup station, night owl breakfast, and the milk and cookies station with vintage milk bottles and striped straws.

For the Pinterest-obsessed, the biggest DIY hits from the new menus include the bubble bar (to make your own fresh fruit mimosas), the from-the-garden station, and the s’more love station with tons of gourmet marshmallow flavors. If you’re planning your wedding around a seasonal theme, check out the apple dipping station, seasonal dessert pedestals, and seasonal signature cocktails like peppermintini, apple bourbon bellini, and blackberry bramble bliss. And for the grooms? Manly, mustachioed, wood-chopping, bear-wrestling grooms (or anyone with a man-sized appetite) will love the slider station, craft beer flight tasting, man cave station, and bacon me crazy station with chocolate dipped bacon and a bacon-infused bloody mary. Just try to resist.
