Waldorf School of Princeton is pleased to announce its 2018 Summer Camp program, returning to three two-week sessions and deepening campers’ connections to its one-acre organic garden with a farm-to-fork theme that is woven throughout the summer.
For Session 1 (June 25-July 6), campers are invited to inhabit the role of the Budding Artist — painting, sculpting, drawing, and engaging in a variety of creative and expressive activities.
In Session 2 (July 9-20), we will become Woodland Explorers, investigating scientific phenomena on our 20-acre campus, performing experiments, and discovering the animals, insects, and plants who live in and around our creek. In both sessions, children of all ages will also enjoy encounters in our garden, making delicious snacks from their harvests.
Session 3 (July 23-August 3) is when we will activate the Natural Chef in every camper, preparing tasty treats with ingredients grown in our garden, learning about the many uses of the herbs and other native plants on our property, and working with our brick oven.
Parents of children ages 4 to 12 may enroll online through the website, for full- (8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or half-day (8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) sessions. A 10 percent discount is available for all registrations received by April 30.
All campers explore, create, and dream amidst 20 acres of fields, forests, gardens, and creek; common activities include water play and cooperative games with their groups.
A School & Camp Open House will be held Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees may take a tour, speak with camp staff, and sample a camp activity. For pricing and additional information, visit www.princetonwaldorf.org/camp, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
