Carlo Vitale turned his 20 years of experience in the construction industry into Vitale Inspection Services, a home inspection business. He serves Mercer, Ocean, and Middlesex counties, as well as the entire state of New Jersey.
Home inspections take place as people buy and sell homes. Vitale Inspection Services offers pre-sale inspections for sellers “so they do not have any surprises at closing.” He also offers home check-ups. “We get in and check everything out from the foundation to the attic. We make sure your home is safe.”
The majority of his clients are first-time home buyers looking for peace of mind before making the biggest purchase of their lives. Carlo performs every home inspection himself. “I enjoy showing them everything about their new house.” Carlo personally calls back every client and talks to them about the home inspection and answers all of their questions.
“I keep it small to keep the personal touch,” he adds.
One of the services he provides is a recall check on all major home appliances. If an appliance does have a recall notice, he makes sure it can get replaced or fixed for free. His services include an inspection for termites, radon, mold, stucco, lead, and well as the entire structure of the home.
Carlo has an excellent work ethic. “I am thorough and honest. I show up on time, even a little early.” Carlo recommends the buyer follow him around as he conducts his two to three-hour inspection. “It is an educational experience. We try not to scare them away, but we don’t want them to get into anything over their heads.” His comprehensive home inspections average between $450 and $500.
Vitale Inspection Services has been in business for four years. They are American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) certified. Carlo donates a portion of his services to 20 different local charities.
