Trenton Writers Unite

Trenton Writes, an online journal publishing short fiction,

journalism, essays, and poetry by area writers is creating Trenton

Writes Live, a combination workshop and networking group to concentrate

on craft, the writer’s growth, and the preparation of work for publication.

The first organizational meeting is Wednesday, September 25, 6:30

p.m., at Utopia, 11 West Front Street, Trenton.

"Trenton Writes Live" is the brainchild of Ray Bianchi, a

poet whose work has appeared in a variety of journals around the country.

Bianchi recently moved to Mercer County from Dallas, Texas, where

he was involved in similar groups. "Our purpose here is to provide

the forum," says Bianchi. "The dynamics and path we take will

be set by the group itself."

Trenton Writes Live shouldn’t be confused with a poetry slam or reading,

explains Mark Feffer, online publisher of Trenton Writes and presidentr

of Tramp Steamer Media, a Trenton-based interactive publishing company.

"This is a group for people who consider themselves writers or

poets, playwrights or essayists, and who want to develop their art,"

he explains. "Our purpose is to provide a setting where people

can have their work critiqued, can help others develop their own pieces,

and meet others involved in the city’s literary scene." Details

on Trenton Writes Live are online at
