The Princeton community rose to the challenge on November 17 and supported our Princeton Period Project collection drive at McCaffrey’s in Princeton. We took in 110 packages of pads and tampons, representing several thousand individual feminine hygiene items that will go to girls and women dealing with “period poverty” here in Princeton. Thank you to U.S. 1 for helping publicize this event.
We are grateful to McCaffrey’s for its support, and to all our neighbors who took the time to learn about this need and shopped for us on a busy Saturday morning. As impressive as this collection is, the need is ongoing and we welcome inquiries, donations, and partnerships with area businesses or groups that want to do on-site collections.
