When it comes to getting in shape, one of the biggest obstacles people face is motivation. That’s why Snap Fitness is offering members a new, fun way to add variety to their workouts while working toward their fitness goals.
Ajani Malik, owner of Snap Fitness in West Windsor, said the latest in-club technology, Fitness-On-Demand, allows members to take advantage of group fitness with the simple press of a button — all on their own time. Whether it’s trying a cardio kickboxing class, shaking things up with Latin dance, yoga, or pilates, Fitness-On-Demand gives Snap Fitness members the same group fitness experience as larger, full-service fitness studios 24 hours a day.
“There’s nothing worse than waking up in the morning and dreading your workout for the day,” Malik said. “With Fitness-On-Demand, we’re helping members stay refreshed and motivated to get results.”
To get started, members select a class from a premade library by using an in-club touch screen monitor that triggers a projector screen to lower. A video instructor appears on the screen a few seconds later, and then the class begins. For extra motivation, classes can be preselected for set times by the club, allowing you to work out in a group setting.
“Working out with a buddy is a great way to stay motivated, and Fitness On Demand is another way to find workout partners,” Malik said. “Plus, we offer free buddy passes so you can bring a friend to try a group fitness class with you.”
Another weight loss motivator is the eight-week $10,000 Lose Weight, Feel Great Challenge.
Since this can be the most frustrating time of year to reach fitness goals, with many making resolutions vowing to get into shape in the New Year, Malik said a competition is a top motivator.
Plus, the $10,000 Lose Weight Challenge is free for all Snap Fitness members. Last year, Malik said, the average member lost seven pounds and found the experience to be fun and rewarding.
The competition kicks-off March 1 and runs through April 30. It includes regular, private weigh-ins, tips, and live online chats with Chad the Trainer to answer any questions, free online meal planning, and local and national prizes for the biggest losers. Plus, no matter how much you lose, you could win $250 just for participating.
