The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) looks to introduce new and younger audiences to orchestral music with the addition of an evening performance of its popular Holiday POPS! Concert and the Saturday Evening POPS! draw of Sierra Boggess for younger fans who recognize her as Broadway’s popular mermaid Ariel and Christine Daae of “Phantom of the Opera.”

According to PSO Executive Director Marc Uys, “POPS! concerts offer the perfect opportunity for families and those curious about the orchestra to be enveloped by favorite songs and music while experiencing the rich and thrillingly dynamic sounds of a live orchestral performance.”

The PSO’s Holiday POPS! concerts regularly sell out each season. To ensure everyone will have an opportunity to enjoy this year’s Holiday POPS! Seasonal Delights concert conducted by PSO Music Director Rossen Milanov, the organization will offer two performances on Saturday, December 17, at 4 and 7 p.m. Seasonal Delights will once again feature the Princeton High School Choir, and, of course, the highly anticipated carol sing-along. Members of the NJ Tap Ensemble adorned in festive costumes will perform Victor Herbert’s “March of the Toys.” New this season, each concert will have assigned seating at $50 and $40 levels, with $25 student tickets.

On Saturday, February 4, at 8 p.m., the Saturday Evening POPS! 2017 concert will be conducted by Grammy Award-winner Lucas Richman, known to charm attendees with free-flowing banter and insider Hollywood anecdotes. He will lead the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and guest vocalist Sierra Boggess through a selection of songs from the stage and screen. Ms. Boggess, widely known for her leading roles on Broadway, will take the stage to perform songs including “Part of Your World,” “Think of Me,” and “Stars” from Les Miserables.

Tickets for both PSO POPS! concerts at Richardson Auditorium are on sale now. Admission for Holiday POPS! Seasonal Delights is $50, $40, and $25 (student) and tickets for Saturday Evening POPS! 2017 are for $82, $65, $52, $33 and $25 (students).
