About the Listings

Each property below is listed in one of four categories

— office, laboratory, retail, or warehouse. But certain spaces

can often be used for two — office and lab space, for instance,

or office and retail. "Flex" space, which can be used for

either office or warehouse uses, is generally listed in the warehouse/distribution

category.

Rental costs are listed as "net" or "gross." A gross

rent usually includes everything but the electric bill. With a net

rent, the tenant pays separately for all the extra expenses —

cleaning of the common areas, landscaping, and property taxes. The

"approximate per-month cost" is what the tenant would pay,

per month, for the smallest available space. Other variables or "pass

throughs" include the "work letter" (what the landlord

will pay for renovations before you move in) and the length of the

lease.
