Theft. A student at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North was the victim of theft on May 5. Officer Arthur Gant said someone went into the boys’ locker room and stole a cell phone from the victim’s backpack. The cell phone is worth $150.

West Windsor

Mischief at the Golf Course. Unknown suspects cut a security chain on six golf carts at Mercer Oaks Golf Course sometime between 2 and 3 a.m. on May 16 and hotwired them.

Officer Robert Fow said the carts were then driven on the golf course, causing damage tot he course as well as the carts.

Two of the golf carts were overturned, also causing major damage. The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information should call the police at 609-799-1222.

Theft. A resident of Cranbury was the victim of theft sometime between 1 p.m. and 4:11 p.m. on May 11 in the East Student parking lot of Mercer County Community College. Officer David Jelinski said someone stole a check and a gold necklace from the victim’s unlocked car.

A West Windsor resident was the victim of theft on May 15 at Barnes and Noble in MarketFair. Officer Walter Silcox said someone stole the victim’s wallet from her purse while she was sitting at the store’s cafe.

A resident of Hamilton was the victim of theft sometime between 3 p.m. on May 7 and 8 a.m. on May 13 at Mercer County Community College. Officer Mark Lee said someone stole the victim’s cell phone and made numerous calls out of the country.
