Can you think of a woman who possesses the qualities of leadership, influence, and dedication to the greater Princeton community? YWCA Princeton has identified eight such extraordinary women and will honor them at the 34th anniversary of the prestigious Tribute to Women Awards on Thursday, March 9, at the Hyatt Regency Princeton.
Through their numerous contributions and accomplishments, these women have demonstrated a high level of leadership, exceptional talent, generosity to the community, and support of the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
This year’s honorees are:

• CommUnity Award: Pamela Hughes
• Ana I. Berdecia, John S. Watson Institute for Public Policy
• Kate Germond, Centurion
• Lorraine Holcombe, Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce
• Heather Howard, Princeton University
• Jane Milrod, CHADD of Princeton-Mercer County
• Betsy Ryan, NJ Hospital Association
“Honorees are nominated by colleagues and peers in the workplace and in the community,” said YWCA CEO Judy Hutton. “The event has grown significantly over the past four decades with nearly 500 community leaders and business representatives attending the Annual Awards ceremony. All support the mission of the YWCA. This year, we will also celebrate the former honorees of YWCA Trenton,” she added.
Karen Jezierny (Tribute Honoree, 2008) and Jigna Rao (Tribute Honoree, 2014) are serving as event co-chairs. The YWCA Princeton has been serving the needs and interests of women and families in the greater Princeton community for over 90 years. This event raises crucial funds to allow the organization to continue offering services to those in need, including English as a Second Language classes, breast cancer support, competitive all-girls robotics, dance, year-round multi-lingual nursery schools, before and after-school child care, High School Equivalency Testing and Preparation, and more.
Tickets to the Awards Dinner are on sale at www.ywcaprinceton.org/tribute. The cost is $150 per person (on or before February 16); $1,500 for tables of 10 and $750 for half tables of 5.
