Volunteer

The Historical Society of Princeton is seeking walking tour guides to lead historical tours of Princeton. Guides educate tour participants including the founding of the University, the American Revolution, and the evolution of the town over time. Before leading tours, volunteers will learn about Princeton. Once trained, guides lead one to three tours per month, for public or private groups. Availability at least one Sunday per month is required. If interested, email a letter of interest and resume to Eve Mandel, director of programs and visitor services, at eve@princetonhistory.org.

The Sourland Conservancy relies on volunteers to protect, promote and preserve the Sourland Mountain region. The organization is also looking for members of its Sourland Stewards project, which includes nature hikes, programs on stewardship topics, print and online media, resources, brochures, and more. Audition

The Roxey Ballet is hosting auditions for its production of Cinderella. Auditions will be held Saturday, January 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Canal Studio Theater, 243 North Union Street, Lambertville. To pre-register, visit www.roxeyballet.org.

Somerset Valley Players host auditions for “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” on Sunday, January 6, at 2 p.m., and Monday, January 7, at 7 p.m. Callbacks will be held Sunday, January 13, at 6 p.m. The show runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, April 26 through May 12. Be prepared to sing 16 bars of a lively upbeat tune. Bring sheet music for accompanist. Readings will be from the script. The Lawrence Library is accepting donations of new handmade scarves, hats, or mittens for HomeFront. The items can be for children or for adults.
