Call For Art

Artists from Trenton’s 2018 Art All Night event are invited to display and sell their work at the Mercer County Community College Summer Jazz Concert on Friday, August 3 at 137 North Broad Street, Trenton. Artists will have access to the lobby of Trenton Hall and the parking lot, including the fence that surrounds the lot for hanging 2D work. Artists can to sell their work directly to visitors. Limit your standing/hanging display pieces to two, but smaller pieces are also welcome in larger quantities as long as they don’t take up too much room. The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market is now accepting artwork for their September event. The exhibit, “Out Of Step: Art of the Counterculture” shines a spotlight on punk’s current impact on art. Princeton Learning Cooperative — located at 16 All Saints Road, Princeton — is seeking volunteers to tutor one-one-one, lead small-group classes, or offer a one-time workshop in a wide-range of educational topics. The Sourland Conservancy is looking for volunteer amateur or professional photographers or videographers to help capture the views, flowers, trees, and critters in the Sourland region. The Conservancy would like to use these photos to help spread the word about their education, stewardship and advocacy initiatives in newspapers, magazines, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. This position can be as casual as taking photos at your leisure, documenting specific species, historic sites, fundraisers, guided hikes and seminars, or filming short informational clips. Audition

Yardley Players Theater Company is holding auditions for their November production of “Beauty and the Beast” on Saturday, August 18 from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday, August 19 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. Prepare a song from the show or in the style of the show and be ready to participate in a group dance audition, as well as readings from the script.
