ActorsNET, a non-profit theater group in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, is holding open auditions for its spring production of George M. Cohan’s “Seven Keys to Baldpate.”
The play follows the goings on at a snowbound hotel where a novelist has checked himself in for a 24-hour stay to win a bet with the hotel’s owner by writing a complete novel during his stay.
The director is seeking eight men and five women of all ages. Actors will read from the script at the audition and are asked to bring a resume and a headshot if possible. Auditions will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, at the Heritage Center, 635 North Delmorr Avenue in Morrisville. On January 20 the Mapleton Preserve will mark the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service by hosting a work session.
Volunteers are asked to dress for the outdoors and bring tools such as saws, clippers, and rakes to the Mapleton Preserve, where they will assist in clearing small trees, brush, vines, and trash from the property.

HomeFront is hosting a Week of Hope.
The non-profit agency that supports the homeless in Central New Jersey will present a week of activities designed to educate the public about its mission, programs, and volunteer opportunities, and provide insight into local poverty-related issues.
The week will begin Monday, January 20, with “Tour and Paint Day,” a bus tour of Trenton, overview of HomeFront’s efforts in the community, and a group mural painting at ArtSpace, and will continue with “Spring Into Action Day,” “Basic Needs Night,” “Expand Your Knowledge Day,” and wind up Friday, January 24, with “Up Close and Personal Day.”

LifeTies, a Mercer County-based non-profit organization whose programs are designed to help youth overcome the effects of abuse, neglect, or homelessness, is seeking volunteers.

Call for Singers
The Capital Singers of Trenton is seeking singers and non-singers to join the group.
The Capital Singers is a mixed-voice chorus that is in need of singers, especially tenors, baritones, and basses, to join the group. The group is also seeking non-singing volunteers for its Fifth Section to assist with tasks such as stage and audio equipment set-up, ticket sales, program distribution, and coordinating post-concert receptions.
