Call for Donations

Princeton’s Human Services Department seeks donors for its 21st annual holiday gift drive. Princeton Human Services, municipal employees, local businesses, and private donors have made hundreds of Princeton children’s holiday wishes come true by providing them with gifts for the holidays.

Applications are received for children up to age 12 including one or two gifts they would like for the holidays, not to exceed $75.

Call for Artwork

West Windsor Arts Center is looking for art submissions for the Off the Wall juried artwork showcase, held concurrently with the WWAC Artisan Market on Saturday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All art entered must be original and new to WWAC and offered for sale at prices between $50 and $400. Work submitted for previous exhibitions at WWAC will not be accepted. Art must be properly wired across the back to be accepted for jury review. Artwork must be in original form for the medium being submitted.

Submission fees are $7 for each piece of artwork or three pieces of art for $20. Bring your art and submission fee to the West Windsor Arts Center, 952 Alexander Road, Princeton Junction, on Wednesday, October 30, and Friday, November 1, from 1 to 7 p.m. or Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 609-716-1931 or visit www.westwindsorarts.org.

Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County seeks entries for a Community Art Show, which will be on view at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Mercer County, 1440 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, from November 12 to 21. A reception takes place Friday, November 15, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Artists are invited to submit up to three ready-to-hang, original pieces of two-dimensional art featuring a botanical/nature/flora theme. Dimensions including the frame must be no more than 30 inches and no less than 10 inches in any direction. Submissions may not include or be framed with glass. Call for Volunteers

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Mercer & Burlington Counties is seeking new volunteers. CASA for Children is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains and supervises community volunteers who speak up in Family Court for the best interests of Mercer County children that have been removed from their families due to abuse and/or neglect and placed in the foster care system. Our volunteers advocate for the educational, emotional and physical well-being of these children.
