The Princeton Ballet School, the official school of the American Repertory Ballet, will hold auditions next month for its 2020 Summer Intensive Program in Princeton.

The Summer Intensive is a training program for advanced ballet students nationwide ages 13 and older.

The Somerset Valley Players have announced auditions for their upcoming production of “Steel Magnolias.”

The director is seeking women ages 20 to 70 who can maintain a southern accent to fill six adult female roles for the March production.

Auditions will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday and Tuesday, December 8 and 10, at the Somerset Valley Playhouse, 689 Amwell Road in Hillsborough. Shoes for All

The Capital County Children’s Collaborative, a Hamilton-based non-profit organization that supports children and their families, is giving away shoes.

The Collaborative is inviting children and their families to their Children’s Shoes Giveaway, where children will receive a new pair of shoes and families can find out more about area resources available to them.

The shoe giveaway will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, at Mercer County Community College, James Kerney Campus, 102 North Broad Street in Trenton. For more information call 609-584-0888.


Hopewell Presbyterian Church is seeking volunteers for “Hopewell Give Back: MLK Day of Service.”

Volunteers of all ages are needed to help eight local non-profits with activities such as baking, making fleece blankets, and making “seed bombs” for spring flower beds.
