The Spirit of Princeton seeks community members to join the team of volunteers to produce the Memorial Day Parade, Flag Day Commemoration, and the Veterans Day Ceremony. The time commitment is generally around 20 hours over the course of the year. Email Mark Freda: mark@16fisher.com.

GrandPals, a program that matches adult volunteers aged 50 and up with children in Princeton Public Schools to promote a love of books, is accepting new members. A recruitment event will be held at PSRC’s Suzanne Patterson Building, 45 Stockton Street, Monday, September 17, at 11 a.m. Most volunteers read once a week during the day. Isles, Inc., a Trenton-based nonprofit that fosters self-reliant families and healthy, sustainable communities, is accepting Requests for Proposals for artists demonstrations for its Isles Fall Fest at Mill One in Hamilton, Saturday, November 3. Isles seeks artists to create works of art of appropriate size and scale to be easily viewed by guests during the event and interact and talk with guests about style, medium, and involvement with the Trenton and the region. Isles will provide equipment, an honorarium, and pre- and post-event publicity. Deadline is Monday, September 10. Call for Singers

Capital Singers of Trenton is recruiting members for the 2018-’19 season. All voices are welcome, and the group is particularly seeking tenors and basses. The Hopewell Valley Chorus is currently accepting new members. No auditions necessary. The chorus is wait-listing prospective members of the soprano and alto sections, while actively seeking new tenors, baritones, and basses. Paper Mill Playhouse will host auditions for the Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir. The Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir is a tuition-free, audition-based performance show choir. The choir consists of 60 singer and dancers between the ages of 15 and 22. Auditions will take place at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 119 Main Street in Millburn on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, October 14 through 16, by appointment only. Callback and makeup auditions will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, October 21.
