The West Windsor Library is accepting submissions for its annual Amateur Photo Contest, open to all Mercer County Library patrons except those who are professional photographers. Participants can submit one 5×7 photo print that fits the theme “Summer Days” by Tuesday, September 10. For more information, entry forms, and rules, visit www.mcl.org.
The New Jersey Water Color Society is sponsoring the 77th Annual Open Juried Exhibition of Paintings on Monday, October 7, through Sunday, November 3. The exhibition is open to all residents of New Jersey who are 18 years old or older and elected members of other state water color societies. Submissions must be done in water media (including acrylic) or collage (created with handmade water media on paper or yupo by the artist) and must be framed under glass or plexiglass. The Lawrence Township Growth and Redevelopment Committee is accepting nominations for its annual Economic Developments Awards ceremony. Nominations are sought for eight different categories: the Mayor’s Award for Economic or Community Development, New Large Business, New Small Business, Business Service, Residential Property, New Building/Renovation, Historic Preservation, and Environmentally Sustainable Practices.
