Greenfest Philly seeks poetry written about the environment or green living for the Eco Poetry Project. The contest’s three categories are adult, high school, and children in elementary or middle school. Poems of all finalists will be published on www.greenfestphilly.org. Gallery 125 seeks artwork for "Revolution," an all media juried showed featuring all 2D and 3D works with the theme of revolution. The show is part of Patriots’ Week, Trenton’s annual commemoration of the Battles of Trenton. Call 609-689-9119 for information.

New Hope Arts offers application for the "Works in Wood Show" scheduled to open November 17 at the New Hope Arts Center’s gallery. The national juried show is open to all artists working in wood to create flat or dimensional works. Functional objects and furniture are also welcome. All works must be for sale or available by commission. NHA retains a small commission on all sales. Artists may submit four pieces for consideration. The Gallery at Mercer College seeks docents for "Dangerous Women Two," an exhibit featuring 70 contemporary women artists from the tri-state region who have selected a pioneering woman from the 20th century as an inspiration for their work. Audition

Bucks County Choral Society announces auditions for the treble solos in Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Christmas cantata Hodie, scheduled to be performed by the group during three December concerts in Yardley and Doylestown. $250 scholarships will be awarded to as many as three students selected to perform the solos.
