The Mercer County Park Commission is seeking volunteers for its stewardship and trail crew. Stewardship crew members remove invasive species, care for pollinator gardens and plant native trees and flowers. Groups meet Thursdays at 9 a.m. at the following locations: June 7, Mercer Meadows; June 21, Baldpate Mountain; July 12, Roebling Park; July 26, Mercer County Park; August 16, Mercer Meadows; and August 30, Baldpate Mountain.

Trail crew members can hike while helping maintain the county’s trail systems. Groups meet Fridays at 9 a.m. at the following locations: June 15, Roebling Park; July 6, Baldpate Mountain; August 3, Roebling Park; and August 24, Baldpate Mountain.

The Pennington Players and Kelsey Theater are hosting auditions Thursday, August 2, from 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, August 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a production of the rock musical American Idiot. Show dates are October 5 to 7 and 12 to 14. Bring a headshot and resume, and prepare 16 to 32 bars of any song in the style of the show (rock, pop or punk). There will be a dance call.
