Volunteer

The Pennington Public Library recently announced its newest service, HomeBound Delivery. If patrons can’t get to the library, volunteers will drop of requested books and media to their homes, free of charge. It is available Monday through Friday to all Pennington residents with an active library card. Requests can be made by calling 609-737-0404 or e-mailing HomeBound@penningtonlibrary.org.

Anyone interested in volunteering or learning more about using the HomeBound Delivery service is encouraged to contact the library at 609-737-0404 or by visiting penningtonlibrary.org.

CONTACT of Mercer County will host hotline volunteer training in five sessions held June 25 to 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 South Main Street, Pennington. Big Brothers Big Sisters Trenton will host an open house volunteer/sign-up session Wednesday, May 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. The session will be held at Base Camp Trenton, 247 East Front Street, Trenton, and is open to all potential volunteers and to those who are interested in signing a child up for the program. The Sourland Conservancy relies on volunteers to protect, promote and preserve the Sourland Mountain region. To volunteer, even for a few hours, e-mail info@sourland.org.

Audition

Princeton Ballet School is accepting video auditions for its 2018 Summer Intensive. Videos should be uploaded to an online service like Youtube or Vimeo. Email the link as well as your audition form, headshot, and first arabesque (en pointe for women) photo to Carol Bellis at cbellis@arballet.org.

Acting Naturally will hold open auditions for its 2018 Summer Camp Shows. Shows include Broadway Bootcamp, Disney on Broadway, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, and Rumplestiltskin. Informal auditions will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20 at Acting Naturally Theatre, 164 North Flowers Mill Road, Langhorne. All auditioning actors will receive roles.

Summer Camps run June 18 through August 10, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays. Participation cost is $325 for the first week, $295 each additional week. Les Miserables is a two-week teen camp. Actors must be 13 to 18 years old.
