Call For Art

Gallery 14 in Hopewell is accepting submissions for its 9th National Juried Photographic Exhibit 2018. Artists are invited to submit a maximum of five works created within the past three years for potential inclusion. The exhibition will be on view June 29 through July 29. Cash awards and ribbons to be presented for Best in Show, Merit Awards and Honorable Mentions. Submissions should be emailed to gallery14exhibit2017@gmail.com by Sunday, April 22. Specifications include 72 dpi resolution, maximum 1920 pixels long edge, labeled: lastname_firstname_title. In the body of the email submission also include: photographer’s name, phone number, email, home address, photo title, frame size, and photographic process. Peer Leadership

Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County is currently accepting 11th and 12th grade teens (as of the 2018-2019 school year) to participate in Gesher LeKesher, a Jewish peer leadership program. Members of the leadership program work with younger children to address topics from a Jewish perspective including friendships, the impact of social media, peer pressure, healthy dating relationships, and addressing anti-Semitism on campus. Gesher LeKesher meets six hours each month, two Monday night trainings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and an additional outreach time either Monday/Wednesday night or Sunday morning. Volunteer

Literacy New Jersey Mercer County is seeking volunteers to meet with adults who need to improve their literacy skills. A 15-hour tutor training course starts on Tuesday, April 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. and continues each Tuesday through May 8 at their offices, 1 North Johnston Avenue, Hamilton.
