The 2018 New Hope Art League Juried Art Show is accepting entries, via their website, newhopeartleague.com. Deadline is March 1, and the show is April 6 to 20 at The Conservatory, 4059 Skyron Drive, Doylestown, PA. NHAL will accept paintings, works on paper, mixed media, photography, digital art, and sculpture. Must be 18 or older. Maximum two pieces may be entered. $40.

The Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie in Cadwalader Park, Trenton, has announced its submissions schedule for its annual Ellarslie Open juried exhibition, set from May 5 through July 1. Submitting artists need to review the prospectus, register, pay entry fee, and deliver art between March 16 and 18. The QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is inviting New Jersey students in grades 2 through 12 to take part in the 15th annual American Patriot Essay Contest by writing a short essay on the topic “What the American Flag Means to Me.” The Grand Prize winner will receive a hot air balloon ride at his or her school in June and a VIP festival package. The essays must be 100 words or less. Winning essays will be selected based on creativity, poignancy, and clarity with consideration given to the grade level of the contestant. The Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra is having its 2018 Young Artists Concerto Competition on Sunday, February 25, at the Arts Council of Princeton in the Paul Robeson Center. The Lawrence Township Senior Travel Group is hosting a seven-day Bahamas/Florida cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas for Lawrence seniors, ages 60 and older and their guests, 21 and older. The cruise departs from Cape Liberty, New Jersey on Saturday, October 27 and returns Saturday, November 3. The per person/double occupancy cost of the cruise is $970 for an inside cabin and $1170 for a balcony.
