Take an Art Class

The Arts Council of Princeton and the Michener Art Museum have announced their lineups of fall art classes and workshops. Both organizations have programs for children and adults. Audition

Kelsey Theater is holding auditions for “White Christmas” on Saturday and Sunday, August 26 and 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the theater, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. Voices Chorale’s new artistic director, Richard Tang Yuk, is looking for altos, basses, baritones, and tenors for the 2017-’18 season. Auditions will be held in early September. Volunteer

The South Brunswick Public Library — 110 Kingston Lane in Monmouth Junction — is seeking volunteers to help share their skills, enthusiasm, and professional experience with adult English language learners. SBPL offers ESL/ELL and English Conversation Group classes on an ongoing basis. All volunteers must be age 18 or older. Mercer County residents with an interest in horticulture can now enroll in the Master Gardener Volunteer Training Program for 2018. The 21-week training program, which is offered through Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Mercer County, will begin on Thursday, September 28, and continue into March, 2018. Trainees receive more than 60 hours of instruction in a wide variety of horticultural subjects. Classes meet Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mercer County Cooperative Extension office, 930 Spruce Street, Lawrence. Visit www.mgofmc.org.

Paint in the Park

The Trenton City Museum, located in Cadwalader Park in Trenton, is hosting 20 plein air artists to paint in the park on Saturday, September 16, from sunrise to sunset in conjunction with the Cadwalader Heights House Tour.
